Goodbye summer!

Thu Aug 21, 2008, 1:23 PM
Yay, finally a new deviation! Nothing fancy, but still.

I haven't had much reason to update my journal, or my gallery for that matter, earlier this summer. I've spent most of my time working at a local supermarket, which is rather uninspiring creativity-wise. But now-! Tomorrow I'm exactly one week away from my first day at the art school I'm attending for two years. I don't know what to expect, but I am surprisingly optimistic.
I can feel myself getting eager to create again (= relief). No more apathy for me! :D

Also, I'm (or my boyfriend is...) working on my own website, dedicated to my "art" (or whatever you want to call it...). Not sure exactly when it will be up yet - we'll see.

Hope everyone reading has had a great summer this year!

  • Mood: Optimism
  • Listening to: Portishead
  • Reading: Secret Knowledge, David Hockney
  • Watching: Youtube
  • Eating: Unhealthyness
  • Drinking: Unhealthyness

Art school sounds great to me...I'd love to take some photography classes. I may get to that one day.
Be sure to share the link to the new website. I'd love to take a look when its ready.

I find it so hard to choose one thing to settle down with for a living-! Thought I would have figured these things out by now, but nope...! If I could study art for the rest of my life, I would :p
You definitely seem to have a photographer's eye, so I think you should go for it ;) Whenever you're ready.

And yes, I'll certainly let you know when the website is ready!

I didn't settle down and have a career until I was thirty. You have plenty of time to find your dream way to make a living.
My daughter is trying to be a full time artist and doing pretty well at it. She still works part time teaching too.
Well, the classes are too far away to attend right now. But things change.:)

Oooh! Cool. Full time artist. That would be IT! ;p
I guess I do have quite a bit of time left to work things out, so I -will- stay optimistic for a little bit longer... hehe! (Thanks!)
And yes, things change. And It's amazing how things work out sometimes...! So good luck to you ;)
